Germination Information

Pre-treatment: Clean seeds and plant in 2 in. germination trays. Cover with 0.25 inch of commercial potting soil.

Establishment: Fruits are collected directly from the tree. M.floribunda is found in Cuba, Hispaniola, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and parts of the Lesser Antilles. Also from southern Mexico through to Colombia, Venezuela, east Brazil and Peru. In St. Thomas, the trees are found primarily on the north side of the island. Some are wild trees and some planted.
