Germination Information
Pre-treatment: Seeds placed in 32-34°F for a 10-day cold stratification treatment and then exposed to 72-77°F
Establishment: Wildland collection occurs mid to late August when caryopsis are brown, at the hard dough stage, and not yet shattering from the drooping panicle. One collection hour/person will yield an average 139 grams clean seed. Very small lot, 0.63 pounds, can be hand collected into cloth bag.
